RVs Over 35 Feet Maximum Space.
Residential Comfort.
When it comes to RVs, length equals luxury. Once you step up to units over 35 feet, you stop "camping" and start "living."
These large-profile RVs—typically Fifth Wheels, Class A Motorhomes, and Destination Trailers—are designed for travelers who refuse to compromise on space. Whether you are a large family needing separation, a Snowbird heading south for the winter, or a Full-Timer looking for a permanent residence, the 35+ foot category offers the amenities of a traditional home.

The "Big Rig" Advantages
1. Residential Amenities
In this size range, you leave the "camping gear" behind. Expect to find:
-
King Size Beds: No need to shrink your sleeping habits.
-
Residential Appliances: French-door refrigerators, convection microwaves, and even dishwashers.
-
Laundry: Most units over 35 feet come prepped for (or installed with) stackable Washer/Dryers.
2. Privacy & Layouts
Length allows for distinct rooms. You will often find Bath-and-a-Half floorplans, rear bunkhouses with their own door, or front living rooms completely separated from the kitchen.
3. Storage Capacity
If you are traveling for months at a time, you need to bring more than just a weekend bag. These units feature massive pass-through storage bays and deep interior pantries.
Important Considerations
Buying a large RV requires planning.
-
Tow Vehicle: If you are looking at a towable over 35 feet, you will almost certainly need a Heavy Duty truck (F-250/350 or 2500/3500 series). Half-ton trucks are rarely capable of handling the pin weight and length of these units safely.
-
Campsite Selection: You are now in "Big Rig" territory. Always check ahead to ensure campgrounds have pull-through sites or deep back-in sites that can accommodate your length.
-
Ride Height: Be mindful of low bridges and gas station canopies!
